We just got back from our trip to Utah/Idaho for the Ricks family reunion. It was the first time Dallin or Wesley had been to Idaho, and they loved it. We enjoyed the Rexburg 4th of July parade, festivities at Porter Park, swimming and picnic at Green Canyon Hot Springs, Fun with the Meservy's in Wilford, as well as fun at the Ricks farm in Felt. Great view of the Grand Tetons from Felt. We were fortunate to be able to see friends in the Provo area on our way to and from Idaho.
Wesley had fun throwing rocks into the Provo River.
I think Wesley had the best seat on the street for the parade. It was hot that day by Idaho standards, but still much nicer than we are used to in Arizona. It was nice to be able to spend so much time outside in the middle of the summer!
Once every few years, my Dad and all his siblings get together. From left to right: Garvin, Marlene, Dale, and Rockie.
On Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a scenic drive called the Jack Pine Loop, which is a dirt road up into the hills only a couple miles away from my uncle Garvin's place in Felt, Idaho. This is the view out over the rolling hills of farmland. From the other side, you can see some pretty impressive views of the Grand Tetons (see the first picture in this post).
