Christmas 2008

We celebrated Christmas for 3 days straight this year. We spent Christmas Eve at Dallin's Mom's house, Christmas day at his Dad's, and finally, my family came from San Diego the day after. Wesley made out like a bandit since he is the only grandchild so far. He might be just a little spoiled:). When we went hiking with my family, he even got carried in a backpack up to Wind Cave (Usery Pass).

Snow Day

Friday before Christmas, Dallin, Wesley and I headed up past Payson to see snow. This was the first time Wesley had ever seen it, and he absolutely loved it. It was deep enough that we sunk almost to our knees as we walked. It was great!

Since it had just fallen and was pretty fresh, it was even fun to eat!

We went with the intention of building a snowman, but the snow wasn't sticking (or maybe we just didn't have the right technique), so here's my version. Much easier:)

We marveled at the intricate detail on each individual flake of snow.

Skating Party

At the beginning of December, I had a rollerskating party for all my violin/viola students as a reward for practicing so much this fall. Everyone had a great time, especially Wesley. He was too small to wear regular rental skates, but the rink had some fisher price ones that worked. At first he was a little scared, but once he got the hang of it, we had a hard time convincing him to ever take them off!
